Recently I got back into Black Ops II's campaign. I started playing the campaign last year around December, but I stopped because I got Resident Evil 6, Assassins Creed 3, and Mass Effect 2 for Christmas. I completed both RE6 and ME2, but I would like to get other achievements in those games, and I still have Assassins Creed 3 to complete. But to digress, I completely got lost in Black Ops II's story since I haven't played it for so long, hehe. Although, I am getting the gist of it again.
I find it interesting how the player switches from the 1980s and then to present day (2025-30, I believe.) You get a back story of what happens to Mason and the other characters from the first Black Ops as well as playing in present day as Mason's son. I have to admit: I love the present day gadgets like the gliding gadget and the spider-like spy cam that can zap things.
If only multiplayer had that.
Well, maybe not the gliding material and the spider cam, but the other gadgets they had. During several missions in the present, you could pick up electrical brass knuckles and melee the
crap out of enemies. It would be an amazing secondary weapon or substitution for the melee knife. Another great gadget/vehicle would be the CLAW:
I think it would be a neat scorestreak, the player could control it by holding down a directional button from the control pad or they could let it roam on its own and rack kills for you. Then again the maps are kind of cluttered, so it would be difficult to maneuver something like that.
Sigh. If you only could use land vehicles...
Aside from that, I'm thinking about "rewinding" and replaying several missions again. I had no idea that you could get achievements by doing "this" and "that" and alter the storyline. I honestly thought that you just have to kill through a bunch of enemies and complete the story (like every CoD game, right?), but your decisions can alter several parts of the story...which is fairly interesting in a game like CoD. So after completing this, I'm going to do a lot "rewinding" to snag achievements and see different outcomes from other decisions.
As well as bump the difficulty to Recruit. Tee Hee.
