FFVIII: Disc One

I devoted my whole entire day into completing the first disc of Final Fantasy VIII. Completely worth it. I'm a bit tired to write down long, descriptive sentences, so I'm going to give you bullet points of how I felt about/ highlights of the first disc:

  • I don't like Rinoa. Hopefully my opinion of her will change in the upcoming discs.
  • Quistis all the way!!...Until she went back to apologize to Rinoa. (At least she -- Quistis --made it back to her post just in time)
  • Tomb of the Unknown King = OP Squall and Shiva
  • Laguna's leg cramp.
  • Gotta "Draw" 'Em All
  • GF spamming
  • ...Sir!

FUUUUUUUUUU!! (Happy New Years!)

First off, I would like to say Happy New Years to you all. I'm a month late on that, since I haven't been on this blog for a while, but I have been playing games! A couple of games, actually; however, I didn't really stick to them because they weren't my cup of tea.

Sorry, League of Legends: I'm just too nooby for you.

On the other hand, I have been hooked on the Fire Emblem series! I downloaded an emulator on my phone and started playing Fire Emblem: Rekka No Ken. Their game play reminds me of Suikoden's war battles, which was nostalgic and enjoyable, and their story was pretty good. I like the support conversations, as well. It gives you a better connection with other characters (such as Hector and Eliwood), and you could possibly let other characters marry. I haven't completed everyone's support conversations yet (4%, haha) but I will, eventually.

I was so hooked on Rekka No Ken that I really wanted to find out what happened 15-20 years prior.......sooooo I backtracked and played the 6th installment of Fire Emblem: Binding Blade. The one that has Roy.

Eeeeee!!

Binding Blade is a decent game, so far. You get to see characters from Rekka No Ken, as well as some of the character's children! I was squealing and tearing when I saw someone's kid in BB, they look so adorable!!

However, I am currently stuck on a boss. Not because my characters keep dying, but their accuracy just plain SUCKS. Let me show you how my characters are set up.

Love my diagram?

Basically the ones in red are my long ranged fighters, the pink is decoy, and the green heals anyone who is adjacent to her. The left red box throws a hand axe (x2) every turn. The two cavaliers in red boxes throws a javelin. The one in orange is the main fighter who attacks with a strong weapon (Halberd). What do they all have in common? Their accuracy SUCKS. ALL OF THEM. I swear to you it has been 10 minutes of the same thing: one person out of the four strikes them, enemy loses 2 points on their health, enemies turn, heals the 2 points because he's on the throne (it heals him), and he strikes either the decoy (who has superb defense) or the two red boxes on the left (why I have a healer adjacent to them). Everyone else outside of that zone -- like the archer and pegasus knight -- remain there because their defense and skill is incredibly low...One hit and they're dead. Apparently the guards they've fought beforehand didn't give them much experience points to level up.

My last resort is honestly switching the knight near the stairs with the orange boxed fighter and finish off the boss in one blow (since he's so friggin OP in both RNK and BB).

But I'm going to let my insanity get the best of me, first. :D

Helping a Friend

Me and my brother were playing Borderlands 2 earlier this evening, and a Xbox notification popped up saying a friend of mine was playing BL2, as well. I wanted to check what level they were. and they were a level 15 Siren.

What a cute little newcomer, am I right??

So me and my brother joined my friend's game and helped them out. We....were a higher level than my friend, of course. We were both around level 50......so me and my brother had to tone it down a bit. At first, it was one bullet per minute, but then it went to "If my friend is overwhelmed with enemies, kill the tough looking ones," or "Boss Fight!! We'll take out the minions, you take care of the big guy!!"

Turned out pretty well, too! We also babied our little newcomer by giving them a lot of purple rated items like both of Moxxi's guns and Love Thumper (Shield), and whenever we fought a Goliath(?) with a slot machine, we would let my friend take the loot. I mean, come on, what are level 50s+ going to do with level 15-17 items?

A: Sell it for 25 dollars, perhaps d:

It was really fun, though. They thanked us, and I told them if they ever wanted to play again, just ask and we'll join. [:

Oh, and I FINALLY got the Cute Loot achievement in that game (kill a Chubby)!! I didn't even know I killed one, but when that achievement popped up, I was squealing like a fangirl at a rock show!

Skyrim Bug?

It's been a long time since I've played Skyrim! I think the last time I played it was....some time around last year, I believe. I've been roaming around in Solstheim for a couple of days, though. Found a lot of neat stuff like the Ancient Nordic Pickaxe, and other neat items. After one mission, I found myself carrying too many items which prevented me from running.

My challenge then was to sail from Raven Rock to Windhelm, and then take a carriage to Solitude. First, I tried to take a ship from Raven Rock to Windhelm; however, when I paid the ship captain to bring me to Windhelm, the loading screen appeared for a second and then brought me back to the Raven Rock docks. I attempted this a couple of more times until the ship captain started walking away. I proceeded to follow him, and he walked to other docks. He then proceeded to walk backwards down the stairs and into the water...It really looked like he drowned himself!

When I went halfway into the water and crouched, I found him swimming back to the dock he was first on. He then teleported next to his ship... and it was really strange. In the end, I finally gave up and threw away some items, and I teleported back to Solitude.

What The Fluff! 2!

Mogwai and other Fluffs waiting for another DDR game to start. Us owners are a quiet bunch, especially Batman. d:

After dancing and walking around, Mogwai and I took a little break on a small island. :3

Sleeping at my house at night.

Sleeping at my house in the morning...Oh my god, my Fluff sleeps a lot! D:

Overall, I think this little event is pretty neat. A lot of people have been complaining about the lags and bugs; although, it doesn't affect me as much. I'm hoping to raise this little Fluff and send it back to Blaze, afterwards. Hopefully I can do so before the event ends! D:

What The Fluff!

On Gaia, they have this new event called "What The Fluff." What you do is raise this little Fluff ball by walking with it, feeding it, and playing games with it; so, I thought, this sounds like fun! Gaia transferred me to the updated towns, Towns 2, to talk to this lady name Blaze. When I arrived, a whole bunch of Gaians were flocking around her! @.@ I mean, it doesn't mean a thing because you can hover your mouse to Blaze and click her, but it's the thought that a bunch of Gaians are participating in this event!

Anyways, I clicked on Blaze and she kept telling me that I needed a house before I could care for a Fluff. I thought to myself that I already had a house. For a couple of minutes, I've been roaming around trying to figure out why I can't use my house. A couple of Gaians had been chatting about the docks, or asking where the docks were. Beforehand, I had no idea why they were asking this, but after stalling for some time, two Gaians were having a conversation about the docks. Apparently, you have to move your house/create a house in the Towns 2 server, and to do that you must head to the docks and talk to an NPC there.

So I did a little roaming again for a few more minutes, and lo and behold! I found it! Moved my house, and I went to get a fluff! My fluff is cute. It's called Mogwai (pre-named) and it's a little Fluff ball that looks like a little Bumble bee :3 I played two games with it. One was the cop game where your Fluff ball races around the place and cops are surrounding the place, so you feed them doughnuts to keep them occupied. I didn't really understand that game because my Fluff went waaaaaay ahead of me, and I was lagging like crazy! Then I played tic-tac-toe with another Gaian:

I'm not abusing my Fluff!  >.<
